Camp Standards

Code of Conduct

All participants at Young Women camp agreed to the following code of conduct upon registration:

I agree to cheerfully and willingly follow the counsel and direction of all leaders, and to abide by the standards of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as set forth in the For the Strength of Youth pamphlet.

I will not leave camp or camp activities at any time, and will not use any inappropriate language or participate in any inappropriate discussions or activities. I will follow the Word of Wisdom and wear clothing consistent with Church standards.

I understand and agree to abide by the Buckeye Stake Young Women Camp Standards in letter and spirit. I also understand that there will be consequences for breaking Camp rules and standards which may include notifying parents and/or having them pick up young women campers from Camp.

Camp Standards

Participants at Girls Camp are expected to follow all standards outlined in the For the Strength of Youth: A Guide for Making Choices. If participants violate any of these standards, they may be sent home. 

The following prohibited activities will result in your being sent home immediately at your own expense and with no refund:

  • Participating in or encouraging immoral behavior of any kind, which includes breaking the law of chastity and viewing pornography in any form.
  • Shoplifting, theft, or vandalism of any kind.
  • Breaking the Word of Wisdom, including the possession of illegal substances and vaping.
  • Possession of weapons or firearms of any kind.
  • Doing anything harmful to yourself or others physically, spiritually, or emotionally, including any form of bullying.

Please be advised that all crimes and incidents or pranks of a harmful or destructive nature will be reported to local authorities. Consequences resulting from actions taken by local authorities are out of our control.

DRESS, BEHAVIOR & PROGRAMS: Follow the guidelines in the Church General Handbook, YW Camp Guide and For the Strength of Youth.

The following are NOT PERMITTED at Wamatochick:

  • Firearms, bb/airsoft/paint guns
  • Fireworks
  • Fires, except as approved by camp leadership

Please observe the following:

  • Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. Campers should be in their cabins by 10:00 pm.
  • Only toilet paper goes in the toilets. No feminine products, paper towels, newspapers, grease or garbage.
  • Please limit showers to one 3-minute shower per person PER STAY.
  • Tables must be protected during crafts or if painting fingernails.
  • No purposeful damage. If such damage occurs, the group responsible will correct the problem in the manner that the camp missionaries instruct, which may include repairs and financial compensation.
